Jesus, we declare you

as lord.

Over this church

over this message, over our lives. We thank you for all you have done

all you are doing, and all you are going to do, you fully be afraid.

Acts two forty two has been our main text, and it says that they devoted themselves

Prayers.

And so this main idea is is

from this scripture, from this context. But today, we're gonna be doing that.

Chapter one forty three verse 10.

It's pretty clear. It says, teach me

to do your will.

For you are above.

Let your good spirit lead me on level ground.

So teach me to your will that you are my God,

In your good spirit, lead me on level

ground? Okay. So the question that's set up today is

did we know that we need to learn what God's will

we have to learn

It's not just something that is a natural thing for us.

It's an intentional effort to understand.

A personal responsibility that in bearing in the vision,

is not all of them to get.

Privately, intentionally, with effort.

Like, the pastor was challenging his church. He said this,

This woman walked in

into the church. They had an encounter with God.

And we took

your Christian walk

your devotional

adhere, do what they do,

When they grow,

or would they be like, oh, wait. I guess we just watch TV?

What would what would happen to that person? And this is the intentional effort

is the personal responsibility. They did what you do

as a believer. When they grow, when they grow, grow,

Would they find him permeating throughout every part of their life?

Would it be when they wake up? Would it be in their relationships?

Would it be in their jobs? Or would it just be a distant

afterthought that's like, oh, what's the

And then we leave, and that's it. And would that be

the Christian devotional life that we win?

Suggest to somebody? That's the that's what we need.

When we look at this question, did you know that we need to learn what God's will is

It implies that there's some personal responsibility and some action to be

taken to say we want to pursue

and ask

and find out, God, what is your will?

It doesn't just fall into your your lap.

I always joke that

Pastors have it kinda difficult sometimes. In some conversations,

people will ask, what do you think I should do?

And and that's like a, woah. Wait a minute. Back up.

I have not got it. I have not got it

tell you what to do with your life. Are there things that I see that I feel like

you this we see this. We can confirm this.

But in the end, it's up to you to understand

I know this is what God wants me to

God, what is your will for my life?

We wouldn't do that.

Because what happens and this is just what I tell

any any person that's studying ministry, if if someone

what do you think that should be? And they're talking about, hey. Should I marry them?

Should I not marry them? It's like, bro, go ahead and do that.

Because if you marry them, and and you're like, well, the pastor said I could.

You should've realized that we fight all the time. It's not gonna be a good marriage.

Think that's you you made that decision.

No one told you to do that. And if they did, there should be some

personal responsibility to say, Lord, was this what you asked?

Personal responsibility is big.

And it goes down to you. Examine the question, you know, leading food of the law,

further throughout the whole bible, you see this pattern of people.

Meaning God saying, Lord, what do you desire?

What is your will? If we look at two specific

examples, we go into the book of Daniel.

Chapter 10 verse one.

It says, then he said to me, fear not,

Daniel. From the first day that you set your heart to understand, humble

yourself before your God, your words have been heard.

We see this example in scripture. This is a great one for

spiritual warfare. The whole thing. We'll find out.

Basically, heaven, earth, and rain.

But all of hell came against the response

And and this idea here in ten twelve is for the first thing that you

set your heart to understand and humbled yourself

before your God, your words have been cursed.

One of the challenges of the scripture, sometimes

we're just not studying our hearts to understand.

We're setting our hearts for God to agree.

And it says, and humbled

yourself before your God.

Your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words.

We look at Moses, the book of Exodus chapter 33,

verses 12 to 15, this is a very good scripture.

For all of us. For every single person here that is a believer, a follower of Jesus,

it's a very good scripture.

Exodus 33,

one sixteen said, Moses said in the word, see

You say to me, bring up this people.

But you have not let me know whom you will send with me, yet you have said I know you my name,

and you will put not favor in my side.

For it's gonna be, and therefore, I have no finger in your side.

Please show me now your ways

that I may know you in order to find

favor in your sight.

Consider that the same that my presence will go with you.

And I will give you

rest. And he said to them, if your presence will not go with me,

do not bring us up from here.

For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight?

I, your people, is it not in your normal wickedness?

So that you are

show me now your ways that I may know you

in order to find favor in your sight.

Moses was seeking God saying, show me

what you desire.

Most of the time, our prayer is not mine.

Is Let me get this.

God made it happen.

This this is the prayer of of most of us in the day.

That's not it. Right? That's how we pray. We don't pray more

It's like, God

a million dollar for me.

Right? Our prayers have to get readjusted and reexamined more

we're talking about this idea of life.

Numbers twelve three

was very unique. More than all the people on the face of the earth,

it says in a different version, Moses was a very

humble man.

More so than anyone on the face of the earth.

So here it is. K? Here's the formula.

Step your heart to understand

and humble yourself before God.

That's the formula.

For how we get aligned with him.

Set your heart to understand

and humble yourself before him.

The way of the world will always continue.

What I just said is not a popular teaching outside of the church.

The secular mind

will tell you all you need is you.

And that the greatest achievements have nothing to do with God.
